Matt Hulsizer

As Co-Founder of PEAK6 Investments, L.P., Matt serves as one of two managing members of PEAK6 LLC. From 1994 until he co-founded PEAK6 in 1997, Matt was a director and risk manager for Swiss Bank, a global financial-services corporation that merged with Union Bank of Switzerland to become UBS AG. From 1991-1993, he worked as a senior trader with O’Connor & Associates, a proprietary derivatives trading firm that was acquired by Swiss Bank and subsequently integrated into Swiss Bank Capital Markets.

Matt graduated from Amherst College and has served as a board member of New Jersey’s Peddie School and Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company.


Jenny Just

As Co-Founder of PEAK6 Investments, L.P., Jenny serves as one of two managing members of PEAK6 LLC. From 1990-1992, Jenny worked in the trading department of O’Connor & Associates, and on the floor of the CBOE. From 1992-1997, Jenny worked for Swiss Bank Corporation, the successor to O’Connor & Associates, as a market risk analyst in global risk control and as a senior equity derivatives marketer.

Jenny received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


Brad Goldberg

Brad Goldberg is the President of PEAK6 Investments, L.P. Brad focuses on business strategy, business operations, and people development across PEAK6 and its operating companies. Brad’s expertise is developing business and product strategy. He is passionate about building a systematic approach to people management to support business goals, including setting metrics to unify teams, building a clear performance management and compensation philosophy, and developing excellence in interviewing and recruiting. Brad is a Director at Spark Networks, where he sits on the Compensation and Nominating Committees. Prior to PEAK6, Brad served in multiple leadership positions at Microsoft across the Online, Enterprise, and Developer businesses. Brad was the General Manager for the Search Business Unit, where he was accountable for global product management, marketing, and revenue for Bing. Brad graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Amherst College and completed post graduate work in Japan, at the Inter-University Center for Japanese language studies. Brad earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded second year honors.

Dan Perper

In his role as the Managing Director, PEAK6 Capital Management, Dan is the leader responsible for all proprietary trading operations. Dan joined the firm in 1999 as a trader and, prior to joining PEAK6, he served as an Associate Director of trading for Swiss Bank Corporation.

Dan received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois.

George Ruhana

As Managing Director of PEAK6, George serves as a strategic advisor across PEAK6 businesses, including Apex Clearing. George is also the leader overseeing the growth of our business through new investment opportunities. Prior to his current role at PEAK6, George was the Chief Executive Officer of OptionsHouse, a consumer retail brokerage that was sold to General Atlantic, a global growth investor, in August 2014. George joined PEAK6 in 1999 as a senior trader and, prior to joining PEAK6, he was a Vice President of exchange trading for NationsBank CRT, where he focused on interest-rate options. George also spent three years at Swiss Bank Corporation trading interest-rate options.

George received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.


Jason Kunreuther

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Jason leads all of the non-trading functions at PEAK6 Capital Management. Jason joined PEAK6 Capital Management from Barclays where he served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Equities business in the Americas. Prior to that role, Jason led corporate strategy and M&A for the equities division at Barclays. Before Barclays, Jason held positions at Lehman Brothers and Boston Consulting Group.

Jason received a Bachelor of Economics from Haverford College and earned an MBA in Strategic Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jay Coppoletta

In his role as Chief Corporate Development & Legal Officer of PEAK6, Jay manages the legal function across all PEAK6 businesses and works with the firm’s Co-Founders and President on strategic growth projects and firm investments.  Jay joined PEAK6 in February of 2010 after spending over six years at Sidley Austin LLP, where he was a member of Sidley’s Chicago Corporate Group.

Jay received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago and a Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan where he was also a member of the Michigan Law Review and Order of the Coif.

Sue Hendrick

In her role as Managing Director of Finance, Sue is the leader in charge of all Finance & Accounting functions for the firm. Sue joined PEAK6 in October of 1998 and has held a variety of roles at PEAK6 during her tenure, primarily in the shared business management group. Prior to joining PEAK6, Sue was a Vice President at the Northern Trust Company in the Northern Trust Global Investments group.

Sue received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Michigan.

Lisa McLafferty

In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, Lisa is responsible for all marketing, advertising, and public relations efforts across the firm. Lisa joined PEAK6 in October 2009 after spending two years at Microsoft as the General Manager for MSN & Bing marketing. In her role as GM, she was responsible for the design, launch and marketing rollout of the Bing search brand, as well as all MSN US marketing efforts. Prior to Microsoft, Lisa spent two years as the Vice President of Marketing & Sales for, and four years at Orbitz as a Managing Director, where she was a key member of the pre-IPO launch team.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Amy Smith

In her role as Chief People Officer, Amy focuses on developing people and recruiting strategies that impact the business. Before joining PEAK6, Amy was the VP of Human Resources providing strategic and hands-on HR leadership across Tribune Broadcasting Company. Prior to the Tribune, Amy spent 10 years at General Electric in a number of leadership roles within HR including Learning and Development and Organization and Talent Development, responsible for all aspects of the global leadership learning strategy and implementation for two of GE’s core businesses. 

Amy received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Human Resources from University of Illinois.
